One-on-One Sleep Treatment:

CBT-I for Insomnia

Sleep problems trigger people to feel desperate to try anything. Instead of a temporary fix, we offer a non-medication-based treatment that teaches you how and why you need to modify behaviors around sleep. The treatment is internationally-recognized in medicine and psychology as the preferred treatment over medication. Read more in this article by Mayo Clinic, called “Cognitive behavioral therapy instead of pills.”

What to expect: During treatment, you will be given a sleep log to complete. Visits include individualized sleep instructions (when to go to bed, when to wake up, etc.) and teaching of techniques to manage worry.

Clients who benefit most: Those who accept that their current methods are not working and who are motivated to try something new by changing their approach. This includes people who:

-Have chronic sleep problems

-Use medications for sleep and may or may not want to make a change to their sleep medication use

-Have medical conditions which affect sleep, such as chronic pain or variations in sleep due to menstrual cycle or menopause

-Have problems with worry and an active mind keeping the body awake or interfering with falling back asleep or staying asleep
